The Net Zero & CCUS Technology Summit 2025 will take place on 1–2 December 2025 at Le Méridien, New Delhi, India. The summit offers a two-day, high-level platform dedicated to accelerating India's journey toward Net Zero emissions, with a specific focus on the deployment and scale-up of Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) technologies.
Organized at a pivotal time in India's climate action roadmap, the summit aims to unite policymakers, industry leaders, global experts, innovators, investors, and sustainability champions to drive the next wave of industrial decarbonization. As India targets Net Zero by 2070, the role of CCUS in decarbonizing hard-to-abate sectors - including Oil & Gas, Cement, Steel, Power, Chemicals, and Pulp & Paper - has never been more critical.
India is currently the third-largest CO₂ emitter globally, releasing approximately 2.6 gigatonnes annually. A significant share of these emissions comes from industrial processes that are difficult to electrify or abate through renewables alone. To reach Net Zero by 2070, India must:
CCUS is globally recognized as a vital technology to complement renewable energy in achieving deep decarbonization. In India, it is now being prioritized through a dedicated CCUS Roadmap by the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, along with industrial leadership from IOCL, ONGC, BPCL, and Reliance Industries, and key innovation hubs like Carbon Clean’s Global Innovation Centre in Mumbai.
